1. The Student Council shall be composed of the elected Executive Board and other Non-executive (non-electable) members.
2. Executive Board shall comprise of:
- a. The President
- Shall be responsible for providing goals and initiatives to the Student Council in accordance with the interests of the Webster Vienna Student Body.
- Shall prepare agenda for all the meetings of the Student Council and chair those meetings.
- Shall communicate with the administration of Webster University for the puropse of advocating student initiatives.
- Shall communicate with other Webster University Student Councils for the purpose of integrating Webster Vienna students with students from other Webster campuses and other universities inside or outside of Austria.
- Shall have authority to represent and/or act on the behalf of the Students of Webster University Vienna, but only through a 2/3 vote.
- Shall act as a spokesperson for the Student Council.
- Shall be responsible for collecting all the bills of expenditures.
- Shall represent the Student Council at the New Student Orientation.
- Shall assign committees.
- b. The Vice-President, (guards the constitution):
- Shall perform the duties of the President in his/her absence.
- Shall assist the President in the performance of his/her duties.
- Shall chair the Elections Committee.
- Shall be responsible for arranging periodic trainings for the Student Council members.
- Shall be responsible for maintaining and updating the Student Council website.
- Shall be responsible for all the Student Council initiatives concerning IT issues.
- Shall be responsible for Fund Raising for the Student Council.
- Shall be responsible for collecting all the bills of expenditures made from the Fund Raising funds.
- c. The Treasurer, (finances, fundraising):
- Shall perform the duties of the President in the absence of the President and Vice-President.
- Shall supervise the transactions on all accounts that fall under the Student Council.
- Shall supervise any Fund Raising activities.
- Shall do accounting for the Student Lounge.
- Treasurer should also supervise Student Lounge Accounting System and compare the data with the Student Lounge Account information by coordinating with Head of the Student Lounge introducing expected monthly revenue and by using the necessary software.
- Shall chair the Budget Committee.
- Shall be responsible for an accounting of all the Student Council expenditures and be able to present an up-to-date budget to the Student Council upon a monthly request.
- Shall prepare budgets for special events organized by the Student Council.
- Shall make timely reports to the Executive Board about financial standing of the Student Council.
- Shall manage the Internal Accounts of the Student Council including the Student Lounge and make timely reports to the Executive Board about balances on those accounts.
- d. The Secretary:
- Shall schedule the meetings of the Student Council,
- Shall keep records or attendance and prepare minutes from every meeting,
- Shall establish and maintain a library of minutes, agendas, and legislative history,
- Shall manage correspondance of the Student Council,
- Shall manage the database of serveys done by the Student Council,
- Shall communicate with the Editor of Webster university Vienna's Student Newspaper,
- Shall enforce appropriate conduct at meetings and compliance with the constitution and the by-laws,
- Shall be responsible for the upkeep of the Constitution,
- Shall be responsible for distributing a copy of this constitution to all newly elected members of Executive Board, as well as to all Non-executive members who were voted-in,
- Shall be responsible for communicating with the general media regarding all of the Student Council initiatives and events,
- Shall communicate with the Webster Alumni Association,
- Shall serve as a manager of the Student Lounge helping the Treasurer and the Head of the Student Lounge,
- Shall store and distribute copies of all the Forms used by the Student Council.
- e. Activities Coordinator:
- Shall be responsible for providing venues in which Webster Vienna Students may come together socially,
- Shall chair the Graduation Ball Committee,
- Shall manage, if he or she wishes, some of the Student Council's parties,
- Shall be responsible for all activities and trips sponsored by the Student Council,
- Shall be responsible for administrating surveys and polls among Webster Vienna Students and/or Faculty,
- Shall communicate with the Student Affairs Department,
- Shall be responsible for all the posters hung by the Student Council.
- Executive Board is elected every year according to Article XII.
- Any changes in membership of The Student Council are governed by Article XVIII.
- At any time, The Student Council Executive Board may vote-in to the Student Council a Non-executive member to assume a specified position. There is a limit on the number of Non-executive members that may be voted in. The limit is minimum of 5 students within the student body.
- Any Executive Board member may switch one or more of his duties with other Executive Board member if both sides agree upon it.
